JC2 Ventures, a purpose-driven venture capital firm founded and led by the former Executive Chairman and CEO of Cisco Systems John Chambers, announced that it has backed BigSpring, the category-defining work readiness platform.

Adam Grant, organizational psychologist and bestselling author, who helps people find meaning and motivation at work, has joined BigSpring as an advisor.

Bhakti Vithalani is the founder and CEO of BigSpring, the US-based lifelong skilling platform. BigSpring launched in 2017 as the only platform to measure ROI from learning. Since then, the startup has served more than 1m users worldwide and works with enterprise clients such as Google, Uber, Samsung and Tata Steel to train their employees.

In 2004, our Founder & CEO, Bhakti Vithalani started business school at Wharton with this stated goal in her application, “I aspire to start a company providing technology solutions to the education sector… accelerating educational development around the world…“. I launched BigSpring a few months after my daughter was born and had my son earlier this year at the onset of the pandemic. Combine the sleepless nights of parenting with the extreme highs and lows of a startup and it can all get quite demanding. I’ve found I best move forward when I set lofty goals for the long-term and simply focus on ‘showing up’ day-to-day.

BigSpring, a mobile lifelong skilling platform, today announced the appointments of former CEO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Frits van Paasschen, and former Group Executive of Rio Tinto plc, Hugo Bague, as advisors.

Nagarajan will be responsible for building and managing BigSpring’s engineering and product teams.
